Experience
I've studied at four schools in the course of my education:, Amherst College, UMass Amherst, Seattle Central Community College - graduating with a BA in Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College. My teaching experience includes tutoring remedial math in a community college context to working as a TA for professors at Mount Holyoke. Throughout this time, I tutored fellow students in the mathematical aspects of the hard sciences, as well. I offer a custom learning experience. For every hour we spend together, I easily spend an additional two researching and offering additional resources for study. My Students are always welcome to contact me when they are stuck. I reply in LaTeX for a clean, easy-to-read explanation. Additionally, I can instruct on preparing math projects and presentations that can later be featured in an admissions portfolio. My goal is create a respectful space for learning, that promotes independence in problem solving, paired with a high level of mathematical literacy.
